Location: Katowice (hybrid)

Your duties:

  • identify, assess, monitor, and report IT risks at a strategic level, enabling effective dialogue with the Bank’s Management Board and Supervisory Board, including constructive challenge and escalation
  • optimize methodologies and procedures related to IT risk management
  • collaborate with ING Group and the Bank’s subsidiaries on IT risk topics
  • participate in projects related to IT and non-financial risk management
  • provide expert advisory and training on IT risk management principles and regulatory expectations
  • build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted business partner
  • lead and develop a team to support departmental strategy and foster professional growth

Our requirements

  • university degree in a technical or scientific discipline (e.g., computer science, engineering, mathematics)
  • extensive hands-on experience in IT risk management, including deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology-related risk frameworks
  • proven ability to identify and mitigate IT risks in complex environments
  • strong ability to assess and credibly challenge the operational IT units in their IT risk assessments and mitigations
  • experience in leading and developing teams of technical professionals
  • strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical data, connect facts, and anticipate risk scenarios
  • decisive and solution-oriented mindset, especially in dynamic and changing environments
  • excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language
  • ability to build long-term relationships and collaborate effectively across departments
  • fluent English (spoken and written) at minimum C1 level
  • professional experience in IT Security / CISO, risk, or audit functions within banking or financial services, with a focus on IT

Preferred Qualifications

  • professional certifications in IT risk management or IT audit
