Your role & work environment

You will work in the dealing room of ING in Brussels, as part of Client Solutions Group (CSG), a highly specialised team within Financial Markets Sales. You will work with different teams internally and participate in preparation of pitches and contribute to various strategic projects.

Client Solutions Group is a global team (with presence in dealing rooms of Amsterdam, Brussels, London, New York, Singapore and Hong Kong), that works together with various local corporate sales teams within more than 25 locations to service our clients. CSG consists of product specialists (rates, FX, commodities and equity) and area specialists (Project Finance, Real Estate, Debt Capital Markets, M&A).

Your key responsibilities

Preparing pitches on hedging solutions with a focus on rates products

  • Create and update PowerPoint presentations that will be used to pitch tailor-made solutions to our clients
  • Analyse the various financial risks of our clients and propose hedging solutions
  • Coordinate and align input from different stakeholders into a coherent pitch

Active participation in various strategic projects

  • Support CSG and corporate sales teams by contributing actively in strategic projects (responsibility on sub-deliverables and project management for follow-up; deliverables can grow over time)

Support in executing and improving existing sales and reporting processes

  • Update, analyse and create a variety of reports towards our stakeholders
  • Identify improvement areas in our processes and propose solutions

As an Intern at FM Client Solutions Group, you will also need:

  • relevant bachelor’s degree and finishing studies in econometrics, business economics, financial engineering, and/or CFA or equivalent academics
  • Good knowledge of financial markets products (swaps, forwards, options in various asset classes) and international finance (debt capital markets, M&A)
  • Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills, demonstrated with good grades in relevant courses
  • Strong presentation skills (creating PowerPoint pitches and presenting)
  • Strong eye for details in all deliverables
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial and commercial drive
  • Eager to learn and share knowledge with colleagues
  • Ability to work independently on various transactions/projects at the same time, often under pressure, and to prioritize resources accordingly
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing, Dutch/French speaking will be considered a plus
