Who will you be working with?

As an intern Communications, Strategy and Employee Experience, you will join the Business Management team of the Chief Operations Officer of the Wholesale Bank. The culture is open and informal, with a strong emphasis on personal responsibility, collaboration, and team spirit. We operate in more than 30 countries worldwide, working every day to improve our operational customer processes.

What will your daily activities involve?

As a working intern at WB COO, you will contribute to communications about strategic projects and programmes aimed at strengthening our processes and organisation for ING’s largest clients. You will be actively involved with the latest developments in digitalisation, GenAI, and performance measurement using real-time dashboards. We set the bar higher every day to deliver faster and better services to our clients. As an intern, you will support teams, Leadership and with high responsibilities globally, ranging from Asia to America, in areas such as Lending and Financial Markets. Your tasks will include making analysis and preparing and making project documents and presentations. The dynamic nature of the team’s work means you will quickly learn about different markets, clients, and processes. You will work closely with Leadership, giving you first-hand experience of how decisions and execution are made.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a driven, pro-active and strategically minded student with strong execution skills. You are creative, and have an affinity for complex issues. You are also a good team player, resilient to stress, and have a drive to improve things.

Requirements:

  • You are pursuing a bachelor or master’s degree, preferably in communications, economics, complemented by extracurricular activities.
  • You are skilled in PowerPoint, Excel, and PowerBi.
  • You have excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
  • You are available from 1 February 2026 (or earlier), for a period of 6 months.
