The Mission

Our squad is called DarkForce and we are growing. Currently we are a perfectly sized team of 5 engineers Frontend Engineers. The features that we develop is a part of the Web and Mobile SDK. Our immediate challenge is to strategically develop and maintain a set of particularly powerful Security features. This Security SDK provides other teams at ING with the ability to easily integrate and implement functionality such as authentication, approval & consent (authorization), token management via a multitude of means.

Your day to day:

  • Contribute to a safe and productive working environment for you and the team.
  • Constantly look for new opportunities to help others be successful.
  • Actively seek to grow your own skills, understanding of new technologies and contribute to the overall knowledge pool of the chapter.
  • Help maintain and support the existing products and other One Experience initiatives.
  • Take active part in all squad rituals and often help facilitate them.
  • Contribute towards a realistic and achievable roadmap for your squad.
  • Write secure code by becoming an ING Security Champion.
  • Solid understanding of Accessibility and becoming an A11y Champion.
  • Contribute and help improve the Frontend Architecture knowledge base.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • 5+ years experience in software engineering within an agile organisation.
  • Experienced with the JS ecosystem and up to date with the latest JavaScript features.
  • Familiarity with WebComponents and LitHMTL.
  • Experience with Security and Authentication.
  • Experience with frontend build tooling e.g., Webpack and Rollup.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling, preferably Azure DevOps.
  • Deployments to CDN, NPM Feeds.
  • Well versed with TDD, BDD, and testing tools such as Mocha, Chai, Vitest, Jest, etc.
  • Strong technical communication skills and keen to engage with customers.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
