We started out in 2015 as ING’s software development hub – a distinct entity from ING Bank Romania – then steadily expanded our range to include more services and competencies.

Formerly known as ING Tech, as of 2022 we provide borderless services with bank-wide capabilities under the name of ING Hubs Romania and operate from two locations: Bucharest and Cluj.

With the help of 1400 engineers, risk and operations professionals, we offer 150 services in tech, non-financial risk & compliance, audit and retail operations to 24 ING units worldwide.

Our tech capabilities remain the core of our business, with more than 1100 colleagues active in Data Management, TouchPoint Channels & Integration and Core Banking.

The Mission

The Metrics & Dashboards chapter is in charge of creating an easy to use, end-to-end, service for our (internal) customers. This is your go-to place for custom made solutions in terms of Dashboarding, using mainly Microsoft stack, but also other technologies such as Python, PowerShell or IBM.

Currently a team of 12 (& planning to grow to 15 this year), we are split by squads/projects depending on business needs and our day-to-day work means collaboration AGILE in a cross-country squad (NL-RO).

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are some of your daily responsibilities:

  • Install, configure and maintain Windows Servers;
  • Patching Windows Servers / SharePoint with the latest updates available; Deploying & using PowerShell scripts to configure and administrate Windows servers
  • Developing (complex) PowerShell scripts to automate processes on Windows Server, SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS, SharePoint
  • Work with Git version control, CI/CD pipelines
  • Install, configure and maintain Microsoft SQL Servers;
  • T-SQL development skills
  • Azure DevOps pipelines
  • SSIS package development

What you’ll bring to the team

Experience: 3+ years

Tech stack/ knowledge:

  • Mandatory: Microsoft Stack (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI), Office (used rarely),
  • Nice to have: worked with SharePoint, PowerShell

Foreign languages: English (advanced)

Education: nice to have Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT related field
