At COO Tech, our mission is to bring transparency, control, and standardization to the IT products and services delivered across ING. By doing so, we help drive faster, more cost-efficient, and effective technology solutions company-wide.

The top structure of COO Tech consists of four subdepartments, with several teams operating under its leadership: 1) CTO Development & Support, 2) Change & Transformation, 3) Product & Service Management and 4) Reporting & Insights (CDO). This function will report into the lead Operations Agents under the Product and Service management department.

Join us in this team where we aim to bridge the gap from our central organisation to the diverse Tech domains across ING group. This means you’ll be at the forefront of driving centralized improvements while ensuring local implementations remain agile, relevant, and efficient.

What you will do

  • Engage with the domains of Tech across the whole of ING group to facilitate and support them in their journey towards transparency and improved efficiency. We engage with those domains in a hands-on manner, facilitating, steering and guiding.
  • Translate and adapt our goals to the domain where you are guiding the implementation, aiming for relevant, value added and low bureaucracy implementations.
  • You will actively engage the stakeholders in the domain from engineering to senior management level, finding this best route to implementation.
  • You will achieve the above with support of a digital product data model, where you safeguard correct implementation. Focusing on following factors:
    • Definition of products and services (in connection with product catalogue & standards management team)
    • Definition of methodology for driving backlogs and steering of programs (in connection with COO/C&T WoW central team)
    • Organizational structure/setup delivery (in connection with C&T WoW central team)
  • You’ll have the freedom to innovate looking for acceleration possibilities, tools, methods, capabilities to support you in your goals.

What are we looking for

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in change and delivery (Agile way of working) with a demonstrable understanding of the tech landscape and processes
  • Broad experience in managing, convincing/influencing C-level stakeholders driving strategic decision across the organisation
  • Significant experience in product management 
  • Significant consultancy experience in running workshops, roadmaps and model delivery as well as communicating and aligning these across multiple parties

Skills:

  • Strong lean, analytics, operating model skills and affinity with the IT delivery flow with the right expertise to advice and guide leadership to improve organisational effectiveness with the aim to accelerate their delivery.
  • Organisational sensitivity and a deep understanding of the ING organisation
  • High resilience, the ability to deal with ambiguity and manage complexity
  • Curiosity, you remain eager to learn about the solutions, tools, models that we use, and you aim to improve them always.
  • Customer focus and the ability to build trust with senior leadership
  • Excellent level of English, communication, and presentation skills
  • We value candidates that have an improvement mindset and desire to continuously learn.

Education:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree and relevant certifications (e.g. Lean, Agile, BusDevOps)
