As a Wave Captain, you will play a crucial role in steering stakeholders through various legal and operational procedures during times of business change that affect employees. Your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, providing clear and effective communication, and facilitating smooth transitions to minimize disruptions. You will act as a trusted advisor, offering guidance and support to help stakeholders navigate the complexities of organizational transformation, ultimately aiming to achieve positive outcomes for both the company and its employees.

Project lead in the end-to-end process of a Business Evolution

  • Sets expectations at the start and ensures stakeholders have a clear understanding of their roles & responsibilities
  • Serves as a central point of contact (SPOC) for all stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and coordination throughout the process
  • Oversees alignment and progress, ensuring all activities are completed on time and in coordination with one another
  • Guides employees in case of business evolutions with people impact

Process implementation

  • Assumes responsibility for completing essential tasks that support the progression and smooth execution of the process
  • Conducts retrospectives to improve experience & efficiency

As a Project Manager:

  • Organize business alignment and meeting schedules.
  • Contribute to wave scoping with HRBP’s and business leads.
  • Set clear timelines and manage stakeholder commitments.
  • Identify and address wave-related risks.
  • Coordinate and facilitate information sessions for leaders and employees.
  • Oversee data quality checks and reporting.
  • Prepare and lead matching meetings.

As a Process Manager:

  • Improve Job to Job processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Update process documentation.

Requirements for the Role of Wave Captain:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Project and Process Management.
  • Change management expertise.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • People management skills aligned with team leadership.
  • Strong command of spoken and written French, Dutch, and English.
