ING is looking for a Customer Journey Expert “Business Analyst” for the “Deal Price Manager” team under Wholesale Banking Transaction Services.

Job Description

You will be working for the “Deal Price Manager” team under Transaction Services (‘TS’) in ING Wholesale Banking. TS offers a comprehensive range of products to Corporate Clients and Financial Institutions across Europe. The Deal price manager team is an engineering team designing, developing and maintaining creative digital solutions for internal users as well as external customers in about 20 countries, to keep control on Payments & Cash Management fees.

As a Customer Journey Expert “Business Analyst”, your main responsibility will be designing new creative solutions for the business, with the user in mind. You will play an active role in collecting business requirements from different stakeholders (Sales, Customer Support, Operations, …), describing the functional solution for these requirements, and breaking down the functional solution into actionable chunks of work for the IT Developers.

A good feeling for commercial interests and software delivery is key. With a key interest to learn ING products and billing engines.

You will be working in a cross-border team with business and IT members working in Agile mode, within a professional, dynamic, and multicultural domain (5 different locations: BE, NL, SK, IN and PH) out of Bratislava where you can make a visible contribution to the organization through solution driven thinking.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The Business Analyst is a key role for designing seamless and performing solutions for internal and external users and requires strong analytical skills, problem solving mentality and excellent communicative skills. A strong affinity or experience within software delivery.

  • You will collect business requirements from different business (Sales, Customer Support, ..) or IT (Operations, Risk, …) stakeholders.
  • You will describe a solution for these business requirements, on functional level, using standard methodologies (UML data model, use cases, activity diagrams, …)
  • You will break down the functional solution into actionable items (detailed user stories) that can be picked up by the next person in the delivery chain (technical analyst)
  • You will keep the functional system documentation and processes up to date
  • You will present the new solutions and provide trainings to the users
  • You will prepare and execute functional end-to-end tests (user acceptance tests)
  • You will supervise the execution of the user stories, resolve impediments and escalate when necessary.
  • You will advise the Product Owner on the evolution of the solution, planning and decision making

Education

  • University education (Bacelors's degree) preferably in IT and/or Management.
  • Excellent level in written English (near- native knowledge) and strong verbal communication skills
  • At least 5 years of work experience as Business Analyst or equivalent

Competencies

  • You have a problem-solving mentality, striving for high quality results.
  • You are able to perform interviews with stakeholders to understand and challenge business requirements of different nature (commercial, operational, financial, legal, IT, risk, …)
  • You have strong analytical skills and are able to create functional representations of a solution using standard modeling languages like UML (entity diagrams, use cases, activity diagrams, …)
  • You master the Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and drawing advance diagrams.
  • You are able to perform simple data analysis: lookup data in simple data sets using excel or basic SQL queries, and extract the main conclusions from these data.
  • You communicate effectively and build good relations with different kind of stakeholders (business and IT) across the ING network
  • You are able to adapt the discussion (level of detail) depending on your interlocutor (business vs IT, manager vs team member, …)
  • You are at ease with managing time-sensitive projects with a large number of local or cross-border senior stakeholders (having sometimes conflicting interests)
  • Flexibility is required to get things done. You do not just give up when things are not going well, and you know who or where to turn to within the organization if you need support.
  • You are willing to learn every day in a continuous moving global environment with high expectations of service.

Wage (gross)
From 2550 EUR/month

*By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview.
