Senior Product Owner - Digitisation

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Product Owner to help us continue that journey. In this role, you’ll lead the optimisation and digitisation of key business processes—bringing your expertise in products, channels, process improvement and workflow design to shape seamless, end‑to‑end customer experiences. Operating as both a Customer Journey Expert and Product Owner, you’ll guide your squad’s priorities and roadmap, ensuring every solution is efficient, compliant and designed with the customer at the centre.

This is a permanent role based in Sydney.

What you’ll do

  • Take ownership of the design and delivery solutions that drive operational efficiency.
  • Use your technical expertise and experience to contribute to all sprint events, co‑manage and prioritise the backlog at the level of user stories and participate in Chapter meetings and standard scrum ceremonies.
  • Represent the voice of the customer, have a strong vision on how to attract and retain customers, and focus on continuously improving the customer benefits and key moments of truth across the customer journey.
  • Determine and formulate the business and product requirements for existing and new products and services within legislative and regulatory frameworks and manage product risks and issues while proposing and implementing structural improvements.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date professional knowledge and skills across regulatory, market, customer and competitive trends, design strategy for products, channels, and processes, and track and adjust delivery to ensure alignment with brand and strategic objectives.
  • Represent the product or service to internal and external stakeholders, manage vendors to agreed service levels and governance standards, and ensure alignment of stakeholder interests with squad priorities.
  • Look for the best opportunities to digitise ING’s processes across the Operations domain, ensure compliance with ING policies and standards, and work in a multidisciplinary team while taking accountability for a diverse set of responsibilities.

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated in‑depth experience digitising processes through the deployment of PEGA workflow solutions.
  • Experience as a Product Owner delivering customer experience and digital initiatives, including hands‑on work with PEGA workflow solutions.
  • Strong proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage work to achieve outcomes.
  • Proven ability to manage and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Proactive, adaptable and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
