Job Title:  Trade Sales Consultant – Transaction Services Sales Italy

Reports to:  Head of Transaction Services Sales Italy – Hierarchically and Functionally

Your role & work environment

You will be part of the Transaction Services Sales team of ING WB in Italy, in charge of supporting the origination, development and implementation of Trade Finance business and solutions for WB Italy clients. 

Trade Finance Solutions together with Payment and Cash Management, and Working Capital Solutions, is part of the Transaction Services Sales team offering to local large corporates and subsidiaries of international clients operating in Italy, the best-in-class transaction banking solutions of ING.

Your key responsibilities

Commercial attitude

  • You’re willing to invest in a long-term relationship with our clients and prospects in order for ING to become their primary bank

  • You’re result driven and look for healthy growth of your portfolio revenues, in Italy and abroad

  • You spot business opportunities in your conversations with your clients and organise pitches to generate business and reinforce ING’s position in the market

Stakeholder management

  • You have effective networking and relationship building skills allowing to quickly earn the confidence of mandate holders, senior management and clients, to ensure smooth transactions and processes

  • You will be part of virtual client teams, contributing to activities with local or international relationship managers, to ensure the proper positioning of ING Trade Finance offer. You take ownership and make it happen

Objectives

  • You monitor your client/product profitability and the realization of your portfolio KPIs & team objectives

  • You ensure that our Trade Finance solutions are properly introduced to our clients to respond to their daily banking needs

  • You participate to global Transaction Services initiatives and improvement projects, and actively contribute to making the Trade Finance offering on ING aligned with the highest standards

As a Trade Sales Consultant you will also need:  

  • Academic degree / MBA in finance, economics, law or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Trade Finance activities sales role

  • You have a strong product knowledge and a deep understanding of clients needs when it comes to “Trade Finance business”

  • Knowledge of all principal Trade Finance products and the applicable regulations including is mandatory like UCP600, URDG758, ISP98, URC522, ISBP745, CIVIL CODE.

  • Knowledge of swift messaging is required, specifically regarding the MT7xx category and the various options and fields.

  • The ability to organize and structure complex fronting transaction is required, as well knowledge of the Italian Law 185/1990

  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence tools in the field of Trade product will be considered a must, however the target of clients for the bank’s growth strategy is medium-sized enterprises.  

  • Experience in Working Capital Solutions is a strong plus

  • Experience with large corporate clients is an advantage,

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in Italian and English (Knowledge of the French language will be considered an added value) 

  • To give and ask for constructive feedback

  • The ability to get things done effectively and efficiently

  • To be a team player who loves to gain, deepen and share knowledge

Working conditions: Full Time

Duration: Permanent
