Are you a visionary HR leader with a passion for operational excellence, strategic transformation, and delivering exceptional employee experiences?

ING Australia is looking for a Head of People Services to lead a high-impact team at the heart of our HR function. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the full spectrum of HR operations—from systems and vendor management to compliance, risk, and service delivery—while driving innovation and continuous improvement across the employee lifecycle.

You’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of our HR service model, collaborating with global stakeholders, and championing a culture of agility, resilience, and inclusion. If you thrive in complex environments and are ready to make a meaningful impact, this is your opportunity to lead with purpose and drive change at scale.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the delivery of HR operational services across Centralised and Local People Services (CPS/LPS)
  • Oversee HR systems (Workday, ADP, Rely) and ensure data governance and compliance
  • Manage key HR vendors including RPO, screening, payroll, and CPS
  • Drive continuous improvement and local execution of global HR projects
  • Lead WHS programs, Workers Compensation, and wellness initiatives
  • Ensure HR risk management, compliance, and reporting (RCSA, SoX, etc.)
  • Champion organisational change and transformation with a people-first approach
  • Lead and develop a high-performing, resilient, and inclusive HR team
  • Deliver accurate and timely HR operational services to support and enhance employee experience

What we’re looking for

  • 10+ years’ experience across HR disciplines, including team leadership
  • Excellent knowledge of Australian employment law and financial services regulation
  • Proven experience in vendor management, WHS, and organisational transformation
  • Expertise in HRIS systems (Workday/SAP), data-driven decision making, and project delivery
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience with global HR collaboration and the Ulrich service delivery model (nice to have)

What’s in it for you?

  • Discounted ING Health Insurance
  • An additional Rest Day to support your wellbeing
  • An IMPACT day to volunteer on approved sustainability activity
