The Capital & Liquidity Expertise Centre (CLEC) and the recently established COE WB Models has been transformed into one new WB Capital & Models department as part of WB CTO. This new department will focus on optimizing the WB Balance Sheet, Capital and Funding positions and acts as Business Model Owner for the WB Credit Risk Models. The team will also play a central role in the analytics and pricing of the WB Lending products.


Your role
We are looking for a Structuring and Advisory Expert, who will act as FO experts in the Capital Management team. The WB Capital Management team is advising and steering the business on capital management at Sector/Location level and initiate and support with the execution of these plans. The team will directly participate in Sector/Regional Greenlight meetings and will take the lead in the Pricing Strategy and the execution of global SRT transactions. As Structuring and Advisory Expert you have more than 10 years of Front-Office and/or Credit Risk experience. You act as an advisor to Product and Sector-heads on Balance Sheet optimization initiatives, including the use of the different distribution tools, on global and/or local level. You help the WB organization in realizing a RWA light, high profitable business model. You will anticipate on unforeseen events caused by market circumstances and identifies structural improvements.

In your role of Structuring and Advisory Expert VI, you will:

  • Provide independent portfolio steering advice towards locations and sectors
  • Optimize the yearly sector/location plans and initiate actions accordingly
  • Steer origination in line with participation in Greenlight committees
  • Execute Significant Risk Transfer (SRT) planning according to the WB agenda and market appetite
  • Oversee and optimize composition of SRT Book
  • Set and Manage HTC/HTCS/HTC transactions and bookings
  • Initiate and coordinate execution of contingency actions
  • Create value for WB by using solutions including CDS and CPRI solutions
  • Participate in funding overlay & optimization initiatives
  • Report to WB Head of Capital Management

Job requirements Structuring and Advisory Expert V:

We are looking for candidates with the following knowledge and experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Front-Office and/or Credit Risk.
  • Strategic business perspective, good knowledge and understanding of WB processes (Front Office and Transactional Risk experience).
  • Extensive structuring experience in a Lending, Capital Markets or Financial Markets domain.
  • Proven track record of successful transaction execution within the Front-office and or Transactional Risk domain.
  • Proficient in Balance Sheet Management, conducting specific cross-industry or industry specific portfolio analysis and able to identify trends.
  • Excellent communicator – ability to take knowledge from experts, make complex simple and convey the message in a convincing way to stakeholders with diverse backgrounds and at all levels in the organization up to MBB level.
  • “Make it happen” mindset and track record.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
