Ops Engineer with Oracle

We are looking for you, if you:

  • Have hands on experience with Oracle SQL and RDBMS (12c or higher),
  • Linux (bash) scripting has no secrets for you,
  • CI / CD tooling: Azure DevOps, Maven,
  • Have strong communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and in an agile way.
  • Experience with monitoring & alerting / observability / SRE
  • Experience with vulnerability management / patching
  • Security management
  • Experience in ITIL processes: Incident-, problem and change management

You’ll get extra points for:

  • In previous roles, you were the ‘go-to-person’ for the team when encountering challenges. You are a genuine team player and can also coach and support other team members to achieve shared goals,
  • Experience in Kafka (cluster management, Kafka connect, schema registry, ..),
  • Database Change Data Capture concepts & Oracle Goldengate, Fivetran HVR, Qlik Replicate
  • Oracle Data Integrator 12c or any ETL tool,
  • Experience with visualization with Grafana, Elastic, Kibana,
  • Experience in a complex, corporate environment,
  • Experience in Lending, Financial systems,
  • Experience in UAC scheduler
  • Experience in XFB file transfer
  • Issue trackers like ServiceNow,
  • Collaboration tooling like Confluence.

  • The ability to proactively introduce improvements and innovations,
  • Ability to find alternative solutions,
  • Being open-minded person, eager to learn, face new challenges and develop cooperation with colleagues from other ING Group units.

Your responsibilities:

  • Application management, maintenance and support,
  • Applying CI/CD principles
  • Working with IT risk and security.
