DevOps Engineer – Credit Risk Department

The team

As part of our development team, you will work on core applications that process, analyze, and report on credit risk data. These systems are fundamental to our operations and regulatory compliance, making your contributions both meaningful and impactful.

Roles and responsibilities

As DevOps engineer you have a positive attitude, are solution focused and have an ability to derive creative, smart, and practical solutions to complex problems. With your experience you are able to work independently on items on the backlog and are proactive in identifying software and process improvements.

Your primary responsibilities are broadly classified below. However, you are also expected to learn and demonstrate new skills.

  • Develop and maintain applications within our credit risk technology stack

  • Build pipelines, processes, tooling to automate, enhance and simplify the development, testing, release/deployment and monitoring of our applications

  • Work on system modernization and enhancement projects

  • Help support our environments to ensure all environments are adequately set up, managed and fit for purpose

  • Build and enhance our monitoring and logging setup

  • Keep our environment safe & secure by performing risk-related activities on aspects such as Security Monitoring, Identity and Access Management, Change Management, Platform Security and Operational Resilience

  • Contribute to Incident, Problem and Change Management, including identifying and implementing structural solutions for recurring problems and maintaining first-rate levels of service management

  • Contribute to improvements and be proactively engaged in the team's Scrum ceremonies

  • Depending on the team, standby duties can be expected of you

How to succeed

  • Bachelor or Master level degree knowledge and capability

  • Excellent technical skills including Java and Springboot

  • Working with Git

  • Database knowledge and experience including SQL, performance tuning and database migration tooling like Liquibase.

  • Automated testing, continuous testing flows including unit-, integration-, regression- and performance tests

  • Good written, verbal and formal communication skills (fluent in English)

  • Experienced in Agile / Scrum / DevOps methodologies

Nice to have:

  • Experience with shell scripting

  • Continuous Delivery tools such as Git and Azure DevOps

  • Experience with: PL/SQL

  • Containerization technologies such as Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes and TestContainers

  • Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools such as Grafana and Prometheus
