The Chief Investment Strategy is responsible for designing and implementing model investment portfolios
tailored to the Italian market, in alignment with ING Group’s investment guidelines and the strategic direction
set by the Group CIO. This role plays a key part in translating macroeconomic insights into actionable
investment strategies, supporting both clients and the commercial network.
Key Responsibilities:
• Model Portfolio Design: Develop and maintain model investment portfolios for the Italian market,
ensuring consistency with ING Investment Center and Group CIO directives.
• Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial markets and macroeconomic trends to
support Italian clients in building robust investment strategies.
• Sales Enablement: Collaborate with the commercial division to create training materials and deliver
sessions that promote investment strategies and client engagement.
• Internal & External Communication: Act as a key spokesperson for ING’s investment strategies,
ensuring clear and compelling communication both within the bank and externally to the market.
• Group Alignment: Maintain continuous alignment with the Group Investment Office to ensure
strategic consistency between investment strategies, product solutions, and local portfolio offerings.
• Strategic Influence: Contribute to the broader investment and wealth strategy by integrating market
intelligence and client needs into portfolio and product development.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Proven experience in investment strategy, portfolio management, or financial markets analysis.
• Strong understanding of macroeconomics and its impact on investment decisions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial
concepts into clear messages.
• Experience in stakeholder management across local and international teams.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
Educational/Professional background:
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in investment strategy, portfolio management, or financial
markets analysis.
• Proven track record in designing investment solutions and communicating complex financial
concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience working in international environments and with cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of macroeconomics, financial instruments, and regulatory frameworks
relevant to the Italian market.
