Role and responsibilities

As a Mid Office Banking Specialist at BMG you are the first contact for our international clients on all operational matters. You are a team player, not afraid to pick up the phone and talk to our clients about high value transactions, foreign exchange (FX) transactions, interest calculations, day to day cash pool and netting activities and many other topics.

You provide excellent client support on sensitive international treasury- and cash management payments with complex routing, adhering to the international payment routing standards. In close cooperation with the BMG Treasury department you coordinate sensitive payments and ensure adequate funding is available with our correspondent banking partners. You understand and provide insight in detailed interest calculations and interest allocations within a group company.

You are involved in onboarding of new clients from A to Z; collect and verify client documentation and assisting our clients with setting up their data in our state of the art self-service portals on our online banking platform ‘Megabank’. Contract verification, account activation and keeping customer files according to high quality standards requires accuracy and eye for details.

Summarizing the above: as an Mid Office Banking Specialist you will have a dynamic job in the front line of our organization. You will work in close relation with our high value clients, your team members and colleagues from various BMG departments. Through working in the cash pool, netting and administration teams in one of the Mid Offices you will become an expert in international (FX) payments and cash & liquidity management while you master top notch service skills in a highly professional organization.

Furthermore you have:

  • Completed university (Bachelor) education
  • Experience and familiar with international (FX) payments, cash pool and/or netting in an banking environment is a plus but not essential.
  • You are not afraid to pick up the phone and call our clients about their high value treasury transactions, day-to-day cash pool and netting business and coordinate implementations.
  • Able to work with, and have experience with, tight deadlines and a high pressure environment.
  • Proficient written and spoken Chinese is a must as the role is required to liaise and interact with Chinese-speaking clients.

  • Customer focus, attention to details, teamwork, planning and organizing, persuasiveness.

  • Your mentality is to take it on and make it happen, to help others to be successful and to always are a step ahead.
