Customers of ING Belgium are as well retail and private banking clients, as well as small, medium and large enterprises.

As aVP or Directorwithin the Trade Sales CoE you will coverthe sales process and be directly responsible for theimplementationand deliveryof the wider Trade products spectrum.You will be deal principal on the deals and will be held accountable on the correctimplementation of the deals for the clients within your scope.The productscopeentails the wider products offered like the traditional trade products (bank guarantees, (stand-by) letters of credit as well as different open account trade products;These productsare focused onwholesale bankingclientswithin the Transaction Services product offering.You willbe end responsible forTFSimplementation as well as working capital (receivables, supply chain as wellasinventoryproducts).

We work through our dedicated Trade teams based indifferent EMEA countries as well as New York and across APAC. The scope of the activities will be closely aligned with the Trade Sales CoE in the Netherlands.

The country scope of activities will be heavily focused on countries who will not have dedicated Trade Sales in country. Hence the country scope will exclude Switzerland, Germany and Spain for now. Switzerland, Germany and Spain will only be covered from the CoE for complex transactions which cannot be accomodated from the country itself.

Your key responsibilities

  • Be theDeal Principalin structuringandimplementing Trade transactions. This goes from traditional trade products to open account working capital products (receivables, supply chain as well as inventory).As from the VP and Director level youwillhave sales targets with linked implementation responsibilities.Afterimplementation, the deal will betransferred to an Account manager.

  • Analyseclient needs, identify opportunities andwork out proposals.

  • Organiseclient meetings and pitchesand make sure your scope of clients is sufficiently covered acrossalltrade products.

  • Bein the leadof theclient interface andbe responsiblewith the internal and external parties involved in the transactions

  • Youare a technicalexpertin the matter,bethedeal teamleaderandhaveexperiencein leading atransaction structuring processfrom the front row. AsanVP/Director, you will bethe Deal Principal.

  • Legal documentation negotiation has no secrets for you

  • Keep the business safe and compliant. Think along on how to improve our processes from a compliance perspective

  • Make the difference to grow the Trade platform.

As aVP/Directoryou will also need:

  • To be commercially driven

  • a relevantexperience ofaround6-9years within eithersecuritisation, astructured financeequivalent role, aWholesaleBanking productrole,aWholesale Banking sales position or in Risk Management.

  • astrongbackgroundintrade financeand open account trade

  • a strongbackgroundincredit risk and dealstructuring/-execution

  • excellent oral and written skills in English

  • an academic degree in economics, management, law, engineeringor equivalent
