Role Summary

As part of Global Finance Services (GFS), you will contribute to the central processing and reporting of accounting activities across ING's global business. You will support management accounting and reporting activities, deliver high-quality reporting outputs, improve operational processes, and collaborate with stakeholders across functions and geographies.

This role offers exposure to international finance operations and opportunities to contribute to reporting transformation and automation initiatives.

About the Team

Global Finance Services (GFS) is responsible for the central processing and reporting of accounting events related to Financial Markets, Treasury, Lending, and Payments Services across ING Bank globally.

The team operates across Amsterdam and Manila, supporting a growing range of activities and business requirements. Working within GFS means collaborating with international stakeholders and contributing to a continuously evolving finance function.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Create and maintain management reports and dashboards.
  • Process management information through various management accounting systems.
  • Perform controls and quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Support month-end and periodic reporting activities.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand and implement new reporting requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across reporting and operational activities.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) for system enhancements and changes.
  • Investigate and resolve reporting and system-related issues.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to projects and ad hoc reporting requests.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Understanding of accounting and reporting principles.
  • Knowledge of banking products and processes is an advantage.
  • Experience working with reporting systems and financial data.
  • Ability to analyze data lineage and navigate multiple systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting UAT activities and system changes.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a global and multicultural environment.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in automation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Exposure to tools such as VBA, Power Automate, Alteryx, Python, Power Query, UiPath, or similar technologies.
