We're looking for a Financial Controller – COO Domain to join ING Hubs Philippines and work as an integrated member of Global Finance for COO and CTO. If you enjoy ensuring the accuracy of financial results, strengthening controls, reviewing actuals, explaining key variances, and translating financial data into reliable management insight, we'd like to hear from you.

Role Summary

As a Financial Controller – COO Domain, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial reporting across assigned COO domains. You will support actuals review, month-end close validation, variance analysis, cost and FTE reporting, intercompany analysis, VAT reclaim support, and management reporting to help maintain strong financial control and governance.

You will work closely with Business Controllers, the Head of Finance, and COO stakeholders to review financial results, explain key movements, challenge inconsistencies, and provide clear, evidence-based commentary that supports reliable decision-making.

About the Team

You'll be part of a global finance community supporting COO Domain while being based in ING Hubs Philippines. The team partners closely with business leaders and department heads to provide financial transparency, improve cost management, and support sustainable business growth.

Working across functions, you will help ensure financial information is complete, accurate, well-controlled, and supported by clear analysis and commentary for management reporting and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform actuals review, month-end close validation, variance analysis, and management reporting for assigned COO domains.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent cost, FTE, intercompany, and VAT reclaim reporting.
  • Prepare evidence-based commentary on financial performance, key variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Review planning and forecasting assumptions against actual performance and business expectations.
  • Provide financial insight and constructive challenge to finance and COO stakeholders.
  • Own recurring and ad hoc financial control deliverables, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
  • Identify and resolve financial risks, data inconsistencies, control gaps, and improvement opportunities.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA, CMA, CFA, or a master’s degree is an advantage.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in Financial Controlling and Planning & Analysis
  • Able to adapt complex cross-functional/matrix global business environments is a must
  • Expertise of actuals reporting, month-end close review, planning, forecasting, cost management, variance analysis
  • Strong control mindset, with the ability to identify reporting issues, validate financial movements, challenge inconsistencies, and ensure accurate output.
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint; Power BI, Hyperion, SmartView are a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel and enterprise planning tools (Hyperion, Oracle EPM) Power Query is a plus
