As Product Risk Expert within DBNL, you engage and enable senior management in their control & resilience accountability, specializing in Product & Customer and Risk.

Aim of ODCR is to deliver on ING staying safe & secure by engaging and enabling ING (business) leaders to be in control of their (local) processes and activities, while doing this in the most efficient and effective way for ING as a whole. Through the ODCR Experts, ING leaders are provided with a complete overview of all control and resilience requirements for the respective risk topics. In the Expert team, the Product & Customer Risk Expert owns the requirements for topics related to customer suitability (PARP), ESG and accessibility. A specialization for this role is related to managing the frameworks of ING Owned Bank Accounts (IOBA) & ING Initiated Payments (IIP) (30-40% of your time).

The opportunity

As a strategic partner for the first line risk owners, you drive the control & resilience calendar related to your expertise across the business domains. In close cooperation with the ODCR Business Partners, you work with the business line and tribe leadership in helping business leaders be in control, implement new requirements and focus on what matters.

Your role and responsibilities

In your role as Product & Customer Risk Expert you:

  • build a strong relationship with the (senior) managers across the business domains by showing business acumen and providing control & resilience solutions
  • drive the implementation roadmap for new risk requirements in your area of expertise and translate these to operational designs together with the business lines
  • deliver the control design, first line monitoring documents and (data-driven) methods of evaluation for the frameworks in your area of expertise, and safeguard execution.
  • engage the Tribes to have control & resilience by design in their processes
  • engage and enable managers on control & resilience requirements and what is needed to comply
  • use data and reporting to shape the control & resilience agenda and drive the relevant control and resilience discussions in business meetings
  • apply the most appropriate control & resilience solution to ensure compliance with the (local) business process or activity
  • inform and educate the Assurance Operations teams (local and in the ING Hub) on (changing) business needs, opportunities and assurance requirements, so they can deliver solutions accordingly
  • liaise with relevant 2LoD and 3LoD colleagues for risk management questions and/or advise on risk mitigating activities
  • A specific specialization focus on ING Owned Bank Accounts (IOBA) & ING Initiated Payments (IIP).

Requirements

  • Master/Bachelor degree with up to 3 years relevant experience, preferably within the Private Individuals domain
  • In-depth knowledge of, or ability to quickly master, ING NL products and processes.
  • Fluent in English. Dutch is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills: written and oral.
  • Good knowledge of (and practical experience) in NFR Framework, monitoring and reporting.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Proven planning & organizational skills.
  • Driven and customer focused, loving to collaborate with different people.
  • You are a team player, but are able to deliver individually in close cooperation with other ING colleagues.
  • Making things happen thanks to your ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Problem solving.
