We have a great opportunity to join Specialised Lending Transaction Management as Intern. Specialised Lending Transaction Management is the center of expertise for all structured credit transactions originated with clients of WB Sectors. We are a team of 25+ skilled and well-rounded bankers of all seniority levels, which allows for the best deal outcomes for both client and bank.

This internship allows you a sneak preview as to how it is to work as a lending professional within the front office of ING WB. As a junior member of the Specialised Lending Transaction Management team, you will support us and work closely with Sector Coverage bankers. The work will be fast-paced and multifaceted. On the team, you will be exposed to and work with different colleagues from all sectors in which ING specializes.

The team

The Specialised Lending Transaction Management team is involved with new lending transactions, working closely with the client relationship managers and/or the Deal Principals and will take primary responsibility for many of the key processes to get to a deal. After the co-origination and co-structuring phase, Specialised Lending Transaction Management is involved in the full deal execution process, notably the credit approval process, until the transaction documentation is signed

Roles and responsibilities

· Assisting with preparation of credit approval packages, including reviewing due diligence, including summarizing and performing analytics;

· Preparing business comparables and analysis of debt structures, performance metrics and debt pricing;

· Assisting with writing Greenlight memos;

· Building financial models with sensitivity analysis and validation of key assumptions;

· Running internal models including risk ratings and loan pricing;

· Preparation of marketing materials and lending analytics for clients;

· Attending meetings and calls with customers including transaction-related due diligence;

· Assisting with reviewing legal documentation and validating key terms & conditions.

How to succeed

Qualifications / Education:

Bachelor’s degree in finance/economics/accounting/management/engineering (or similar)

Competencies:

· Collaborative and inclusive team player;

· Demonstrated affinity with / interest in the some of the relevant sectors and the Lending product;

· Strong analytical skills;

· Financial modelling skills are a plus;

· Authentic and confident presentation and communication skills;

· Self-motivated and able to thrive in a deal-oriented and deadline-driven environment;

· Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and professional demeanor.
