A day in the life of a Benefits & Engagement Expert

Together with your colleagues you bring excellence to how we give back to employees in return for their daily commitment, drive and results.

As a benefits and engagement expert you are responsible for one or more benefits we offer at ING. You manage the design from concept to implementation and you keep track of the needs of the organisation. With your colleagues you strive for continuous improvement in all the benefits we offer at ING, you continuously scout the market for new opportunities while ensuring the operational management is not put under pressure and compliance is always ensured. In short, you define how we delight employees, so you better be good at it.

You have regular contacts with internal and external stakeholders and partners to keep the total reward offer top notch in the market while keeping it safe and compliant.

You are looking for opportunities to reduce ING’s footprint and pushing the boundaries to make our ESG ambitions a reality.

As a Benefits & Engagement Expert, you have:

  • a bachelor’s or master’s degree

  • knowledge of the fiscal and social security legislation and the impact it has on reward benefits

  • at least 5 years proven experience in an HR function linked to rewards or tax

  • natural interest in and ability to bring concepts to life

  • the ability to dismantle a complex issue fast and bring it down to its real essence

  • a “can do” and pragmatic mindset

  • excellent stakeholder management

  • excellent communication skills

  • fluency in French, Dutch and English, both spoken and written

Furthermore, you understand employees are looking for easy to understand solutions and not “in the cloud” concepts, you bring concepts to life and show employees what it means to them.
