Join us! Your role will be to design, create, own, and maintain systems and service deployments. You will play a crucial role in continuously improving our infrastructure for better scalability, security, and fault tolerance. By integrating DevOps methodology into development, deployment, and operations lifecycle, you will enable rapid deployment of new product features while ensuring stability, high availability, and performance. This is an exciting opportunity to optimize infrastructure, phase out legacy systems, and proactively troubleshoot cloud and infrastructure resources.

The team

As a DevOps Platform Engineer, you will be an integral part of the WB Transaction Services team. This team is known for its innovative projects and collaborative culture. You will work alongside talented colleagues who are passionate about leveraging the latest technology to make a positive impact on our customers' lives. Together, you will drive the ING story forward and contribute to the bank's mission of empowering people to stay a step ahead financially.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Continuously improve infrastructure for scalability, security, and fault tolerance
  • Integrate DevOps methodology into development, deployment, and operations lifecycle
  • Develop super clean and well-structured deployment, monitoring, and application management scripts
  • Enable rapid deployment of new product features while ensuring stability, high availability, and performance
  • Optimize infrastructure and phase out legacy systems
  • Monitor and proactively troubleshoot infrastructure resources
  • Ensure system security compliance with ING standards and policies (IT RISK)

Nice to have skills :

  • Scripting (Powershell, Bash, Python, and similar) skills.
  • Advanced to proficient knowledge in RHEL, Windows, Websphere, MQ
  • Risk, Vulnerability, and LifeCycle Management
  • Working knowledge of containerization i.e. (Docker, Kubernetes or similar)
  • Azure Devops, CI/CD, Ansible
  • Basic knowledge of Oracle RDBMS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Strong Linux and networking skills
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps in combination with Ansible
  • Proficiency in shell scripting or another scripting language
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
