Job Overview

  • As a Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain key observability systems to support our analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
  • You will work closely with other engineers to ensure the seamless flow and accessibility of high-quality data across the organization.
  • Your expertise will drive data architecture decisions, optimize performance, and contribute to the success of data-driven projects.
  • Additionally, you will collaborate with Analysts, Engineers, Architects and stakeholders to ensure data is effectively utilized for generating insights and informing strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain our Single view of different build blocks via E2E monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
  • Improve reliability, and quality of our suite of our monitoring solutions
  • Measure and optimize system performance
  • Provide primary monitoring support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications
  • Implement SRE standards and define SLOs 
  • Understand the custom observability requirements and provide solutions using the available monitoring solutions
  • Gather and analyze metrics from applications
  • Co-ordinate with different development teams to improve monitoring metrics
  • Automation of Monitoring tools
  • Reliability with well-defined service-level objectives

Key Capabilities/Experience

  • Good knowledge of observability and monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana, Loki, Tempo and Prometheus
  • Good understanding on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with strong analytical mindset
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Agile / Scrum methodologies
  • CI / CD tooling: Azure DevOps, Git, Ansible
  • Issue trackers like ServiceNow or Azure Boards
  • Keen on documenting work
  • Nice to have: knowledge on Kafka, OpenTracing, Opentelemetry

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in platform engineering or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java.
  • Agile / Scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present/demo ideas and solutions
