Junior Cost Controller

The junior cost controller (Junior Strategy and Business Effectiveness) plays a key role in supporting the success of the Procure to Pay (P2P) process and the effective Cost Control management, collaborating with all ING teams (Procurement, Finance, Marketing, Product, Distribution Channels, etc.). He/she will work in a fast paced and international environment as a member of the Strategy & Business Effectiveness team, under the Private Individuals area, having the opportunity to improve his/her professional knowledge and competence in Retail banking.

Key Responsibilities:

Within Private Individuals domain the junior costs controller is a key member of the Strategy & Business Effectiveness team of ING Italy, and he/she will cover:

  • Retail Banking area
  • End-to-end management of the purchase requests process
  • Expenses and volumes/drivers reporting, planning and control
  • Business cases evaluation, analysis and monitoring KPIs

Educational/Professional background:

  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration or Economics/Statistics.
  • Work experience: at least 1 year in similar roles
  • Banking background desired (experience in international banks is a plus)

Skills required:

  • Advanced usage of MS Office tools (especially Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP systems an advantage (Oracle)

  • Excellent communicator, able to communicate to all levels of the organization - board level to operational level
  • Well organized and flexible - capable to assign priorities and cope with a changing environment
  • Proactive, self-starter and execution driven
  • Has good interpersonal/team working skills
  • Eager to learn
  • Fluent in English
  • Accurate with numbers
