ING in Asia Pacific

In Asia Pacific, ING offers wholesale banking across 11 markets, namely Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

ING offers both retail and wholesale banking services in Australia. ING’s regional presence includes a 13% stake in Bank of Beijing, China and a 30% stake in TMBThanachart Bank in Thailand.

Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.

Department overview

  • Be part of a team which specialises in communications and creating brand experience for ING APAC

  • The team focuses on internal and external communications, media engagements, branding, events, marketing and content generation

  • Interns in the team can expect to work hard, move fast and learn constantly as they cycle through various marketing and communications specialisation

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist the team with the day-to-day implementation of marketing, communications, events and brand campaigns

  • Participate in regular brainstorming sessions for the development of communications initiatives

  • Assist with developing content in various formats including video and digital

  • Assist with the conceptualisation and execution of brand campaign for internal and external communications

  • Assist with channel management performance - data and tracking

  • Manage timelines and processes for assigned briefs and projects

  • Perform administrative, data entry-related and logistical tasks

What are the skill and qualification requirements of the role?

  • Undergraduate in mass communications/public relations/marketing/journalism

  • A passion for everything marketing, communications and events related

  • Strong copywriting skills, able to write for different formats and styles

  • Broad understanding of digital content creation

  • Eye for design, able to do creative designing and graphic editing

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and/or video editing software is a bonus

  • Go-getter attitude with strong organisational abilities

  • Ability to work well in a team

What are the additional skills you could bring to the table?

  • Past internships in marketing or communications

  • Portfolio of past projects/campaigns worked on and writing samples
