    Overview

    ING Financial Markets (FM) is looking to further contribute to the growth story of ING WB APAC with a Financial Institutions salesperson located in Singapore. This is a key role to build relationships with banks and non-bank financial institutions, with majority of time spent marketing and originating business opportunities for the ING franchise.

    FM delivers a broad range of flow products in developed and emerging markets, spanning asset classes: FX/e-FX, money markets, Rates, Credit (primary / secondary / private placements), securities financing, Equity Derivatives, and Commodities. In addition to flow products, we offer bespoke solutions such as Structured Financing, Margin Loans, Sustainable products, as well as structured products.

    This candidate will work closely with teams in Sales, Trading, Syndicate, and Financial Institutions Coverage in building a sustainable franchise.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify new revenue pillars and drive sustainable growth of the Institutional client business. Open doors and articulate / guide FM management and internal stakeholders accordingly on market themes & intelligence, product development, regulatory developments, and business opportunities.
    • Revenue accountability for client portfolio with business done onshore and globally.
    • Develop assigned client portfolio in Southeast Asia (sponsors, central banks, banks, insurers,others) and grow strong relationships. Onboard new clients accordingly.
    • Deep understanding of FX & Rates market, including market dynamics, key players, linkage between global markets.
    • Drive and grow the ING wallet across existing products by leveraging ING resources globally. This includes other sales colleagues, trading teams, structuring, etc.
    • Organize and coordinate client meetings for overseas FM visitors, including management and product specialists.
    • People collaboration: be part of our integral open culture by contributing to employee engagement and organizational health.
    • Comply with internal policies to achieve high level of work ethic and professionalism.

    Person Specifications

    Key Competencies

    • Degree holder with 6 to 8 years of financial markets sales experience in a financial institution, including demonstrated and proven record of 5+ years of growing business with Asian investors
    • Proactive team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Driven and motivated individual with strong communication skills. Able to build bridges, connecting people and businesses internally.
    • Build long term sustainable relationship with clients, leveraging on deep relevant knowledge and experience in financial markets.
    • Demonstrate Orange Code values and behaviors, high quality and integrity standards
    • Familiarity with Sustainability and ESG products

    Fluent in English, both written and oral. Mandarin preferred.
