The Daily Banking Tribe, a part of Retail Bank, is responsible for driving the end-to-end performance of Daily Banking products from setting growth strategy to working collaboratively with all areas of the business to deliver market leading digital experiences. We’re looking for an experienced Product Owner to join the Daily Banking Delivery Team. You’ll lead a delivery squad and execute a roadmap of iterative product enhancements to deliver customer growth and digitalisation outcomes.

As Daily Banking Product Owner you’ll take a leading role within the delivery squad. You’ll act as the central point for analysing and managing requests from internal business stakeholders, ensuring risk and compliance obligations are met, taking ownership for the agreed solution and managing the go to market process.

What you’ll do

  • Lead Agile team to drive digitalisation, collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Facilitate technical solutions with Technology, Digital, and Risk teams.
  • Manage squad backlog to maximize performance and achieve KPIs.
  • Own squad delivery from solution refinement to customer release and support.
  • Handle workflow management including sprint planning, stand-ups, retros, and tracking squad health.
  • Manage stakeholders and make decisions in collaboration with CJE and business stakeholders.
  • Support BAU activities like problem resolution, IT asset management, and risk/remediation projects.

What we’re looking for

  • Agile Delivery Experience: 7+ years in agile delivery of customer initiatives, with process optimization and project management experience.
  • Banking Expertise: Essential skill within Retail Banking, Daily Banking (transaction/savings accounts) expertise will be seen as highly advantageous
  • Critical Thinking: Identify opportunities/root problems and translate solutions into features with defined user stories.
  • Effective Communication: Translate technical terms into business and customer language.
  • Coaching Ability: Lead the squad with continuous feedback, fostering a learning culture.
  • Self-Leadership: Confidently work independently on complex tasks and analysis.
  • Initiative: Take action, ask questions, and make things happen.
  • Empowerment: Enable others and celebrate their successes.
  • Holistic View: Determine priorities based on context and customer value.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Influence stakeholder expectations for optimal outcomes.
  • Problem-Solving: Be the go-to person for challenges, continuously improving own and colleagues' work.
