Senior Product Owner - Core Banking

The Senior Product Owner is a member of a squad within the Core Banking Program at ING to define and execute on the Business Design and Strategy for the Program in order to deliver on intended program outcomes.

This role will reside in the Business Design Stream of the Core Banking Program, which is responsible for the overall scope and benefits of the Program, covering all areas of the end -to- end process across origination and account servicing.

The candidate will have the opportunity to work on a large-scale transformative program and be responsible for developing and executing the squad’s product vision to deliver value for.

What you’ll do

  • Define and communicate a clear product roadmap of prioritized features and associated user stories

  • Continual refinement of the team’s product backlog as well as providing business support, impact assessment and prioritization during Testing

  • Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders including Customer Journey Experts (Business Analysts), Feature Engineers (Solution Designers), Domain Architects, Technology Delivery teams, Business Stakeholders and external vendors

  • Ensuring stakeholder requirements have been captured and delivered based on priority whilst maintaining the integrity of the technical features and solution

  • Identify and resolving process / system improvements to enhance customer experience and team productivity

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 7+ Years experience in product ownership or delivery of banking transformation initiatives, preferably across business and IT.

  • Deep experience delivering large-scale Technology Transformation Programs in financial services, and deep expertise in Core Banking and/or Mortgages

  • Demonstrated experience defining the scope and benefits of Core Banking and Or Mortgages Program, covering areas of within the end-to-end process across origination and account servicing

  • Adaptability and ability to apply the key principles of customer centricity, balancing speed and quality, and promoting simple, automated, digitized processes and solutions

  • Strong Technical and business stakeholders Influencing skills to clearly defined and manage expectations while ensuring optimal outcomes are achieved as agreed.
