Chapter Lead Engineer - Data Platforms

We are looking for you, if you:

  • are passionate about working with people and developing talents of others makes you fulfilled,

  • have at least 2 years of experience in team management,

  • have sound knowledge of BigData and Analytics domains,

  • have engineering experience related to DevOps/SRE, IT infrastructure or Software Development,

  • still want to work hands-on with platform team's backlog part-time,

  • have worked in product oriented scrum teams.

English level -C1.

You'll get extra points for:

  • experience with Kubernetes and distributed application environments,

  • experience with Public Cloud services, preferably GCP,

  • strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities,

  • independent, creative and pro-active mind-set.

Your responsibilities:

  • ensuring knowledge sharing and appropriate competencies in teams,

  • planning, coaching, assessing and professionalizing your team members,

  • recruiting and onboarding new talents,

  • ensuring the highest quality of team results,

  • interaction and relationship management with Projects' stakeholders,

  • part-time engineering engagement in chosen matching team's backlog.

Information about the squad:

Data Platforms area is an international environment with over 80 (growing) highly qualified professionals, working in more than ten product teams and four chapters. Our expertise lies in the development and management of Data and Analytics Platforms. We are participating in development of ING Global Platforms related with analytics, big data, data science and data governance as well as development of Engineering Journey platforms (IT4IT). Our platforms operate on Private, Public and Hybrid environments. Our squads autonomy and end to end responsibility is key for us, so we support Data Ops, SRE and Agile principles.

The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Chapter Lead Engineer III”.
