Data Operations is a key component in the ING Think Forward Strategy. It has been established in the COO Domain to
ensure that ING has credible data which is fully fit for the purpose (timely, complete, accurate, adoptable, comprehensive, consistent, and appropriate), facilitated by a state-of-the-art data architecture and IT infrastructure.
Customer Data Operations’ capabilities are focused on the configuration and maintenance of various system of records that supports activities related to the trade life cycle and know your customer life cycle. The team acts as stewards and gatekeepers ensuring data quality and data governance are in place and properly executed. Key responsibilities are but not limited to:
Party Data
oClient Onboarding / Offboarding and maintenance on multiple front office and back office platforms
oConfiguration and maintenance of standard settlement instructions for cash and securities
Product Data
oTraded instruments setup and maintenance on multiple front office and back office platforms
oInstrument pricing and sanctions monitoring
oException management and static reconciliation of securities
oBooks setup and maintenance for finance and P&L
Transaction Reference Data
oCalendar setup and maintenance on multiple front office and back office platforms
oFX and Index Rate Maintenance
oNOSTRO and LORO Account configuration and update
oRMA Key and SWIFT Messaging configuration and reporting
oLiquidity and Cash Management static data maintenance
Agreements
oClient agreement setup and maintenance on multiple front office and back office platforms, focused on
Global Collateral and Regulatory Operations


KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s Degree or College / University graduate
2+ years of work experience in the Banking and Finance industry
Basic understanding of Financial and Capital Markets

Knowledge on MS Office Suite, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and MS Word
Flexible and comfortable working in an agile environment
Communicates effectively using multiple channels (verbal and written)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver results to meet business requirements
Demonstrated ability to work independently and drives deliverables with a team
NICE TO HAVE
Knowledge of front office and back office operations, trade life cycle and client life cycle
Exposure to financial / capital market products (Securities, Equities, Foreign Exchange, Money Market,
Derivatives) and collateral management
Microsoft Excel VBA
Certification on Lean Six Sigma
Certification on CISI – Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment
Familiarity with industry platforms/tools: Bloomberg / Refinitiv, Calypso, Murex, Sophis, Summit, and OMGEO
Knowledge and application of tools: PowerAutomate, PowerBI, Alteryx and various automation tools
