We're rebuilding an Oracle based platform for ingesting, processing and reporting on financial data. We're counting on your help for designing and developing a platform able to sustain a resilient and performant way of working using modern technological stack.

You will be joining ING TECH who manages the applications, systems and processes needed for ING Group entities like Finance, Risk and HR. It takes care of application development and configuration and performs various operational IT activities. It is also responsible for the development and delivery of change initiatives in these ING Group entities, whereby we adhere to the Agile Way of Working.

You will be part of one of the Chapters within Statutory & Regulatory Reporting Tribe that is primarily responsible for delivering IT services and application changes regarding financial and regulatory reporting to Group Finance and various financial authorities across the globe. The chapter has an agile mindset, a drive for continuous improvement, and eagerness to learn and adapt. Especially looking at the numerous requirements coming our way, this chapter plays a crucial role and is at the heart of ING Finance.

Who are you?

You are a highly skilled Engineer with a capacity to understand and formalize complex business processes. You have excellent communication and social skills. You find the quality of the result as a personal responsibility and understand what teamwork is. Your problem-solving skills are relevant, time proven and your given solutions are structural.

Must have relevant knowledge of:

  • Relational Databases, especially Oracle based solutions

  • Strong Pl/SQL, SQL knowledge

  • Strong Java knowledge

  • Understanding of Oracle Designer / Oracle Forms / Apex based solutions

  • Relevant Object-Oriented, Procedural, Functional experience

  • Logging and monitoring solutions and principles

  • Testing best practices and frameworks

  • Source Control Management solutions

  • Practice of Agile way of working

  • Excellent spoken English

  • Good communication skills

  • Completed education (minimum Bachelor, preferable Master in IT or related field)

  • Have an open mind to embrace new technologies

  • Messaging systems understanding

  • Design for Failure principles
