We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tooling Resource to join our Global Major Incident Management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing tools and automation processes that are critical for the efficient operation of our war room during major incidents. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tool Development and Maintenance:Design, develop, and maintain tools that support incident management processes.

  • Automation:Implement automation solutions to streamline workflows and improve response times during major incidents.

  • Monitoring and Reporting:Develop monitoring tools and dashboards to provide real-time visibility into incident status and metrics.

  • Collaboration:Work closely with the Major Incident Management team to understand their needs and provide technical support.

  • Documentation:Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all tools and automation processes.

  • Training:Provide training and support to team members on the use of tools and automation solutions.

  • Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the war room operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience:Minimum of 10 years of experience in tooling and automation, preferably in an incident management or IT operations environment.

  • Technical Skills:Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell), experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins), and familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Kibana, Grafana).

  • Problem-Solving:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Team Player:Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications:Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Certified Automation Professional (CAP), or similar.

  • Experience:Previous experience in a major incident management role or war room environment.

  • Knowledge:Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools and practices.
