We are looking for an experienced Lead with entrepreneurial mindset to join our team and lead our Consumer Lending & Insurance tribe. Our goal is to boost the income from our products, with a primary goal of growing the Consumer Lending and Insurance portfolio by unlocking instant lending capabilities, developing new insurance products in a MGA set-up, entering new markets and segments and setting up new partnerships.

As the Tribe Lead for Consumer Lending & Insurance, you will be responsible for driving the strategic vision, development, and delivery of our consumer lending and insurance products. You lead two product areas, end-to-end with product P&L responsibility, create and lead the execution of the strategy to win in consumer lending and insurance markets in the Netherlands within the risk appetite of ING and in alignment with the Horizon ‘28 strategy and global retail strategy.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for the Consumer Lending & Insurance tribe.
  • Lead and inspire a team of professionals to achieve product and business goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify market opportunities and customer needs.
  • Manage the insurance partners to achieve common goals.
  • Set-up and develop distribution partnerships for consumer loans.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize outcomes.
  • Drive towards our joint goals and form strong partnerships with the IT- Lead and other stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

After setting and communicating the direction, you are passionate and perseverant to make things happen. You are naturally collaborative, listen well, and invest in others to achieve common goals.

What you bring:

  • Masters's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the financial services industry, preferably in insurance.
  • Strong understanding of product management, agile methodologies, and customer centric design.
  • Proven experience in strategic partnership management.
  • Proven experience in strategic projects with high impact, and a track record of bringing successful commercial and digital propositions to market.
  • The ability to steer strategy and realizations based on facts and data; managerial courage to question and make decisions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • You are fluent in English, both in writing and speech
