You will help us optimize our customer outreaches processes and digitalize them.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Information Optimization Specialist to join our team. The team plays a pivotal role in shaping how ING collects and processes customer information to support efficient and compliant customer due diligence (CDD) reviews.

You will play an important role in strategic design and continuous improvement of how customer information is requested, received, and validated—ensuring a seamless, digital-first experience for both customers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

Some of the key things you would be doing are:

  • Collaborating with business and technical teams to define requirements for digital customer information flows
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline and automating customer interactions, reducing reliance on paper-based processes
  • Supporting the development of solutions that enable customers to provide required information through digital channels (e.g., banking apps, online portals)
  • Exploring alternative sourcing strategies to minimize customer burden, including leveraging internal systems and external sources
  • Ensuring that incoming customer information can be automatically validated, processed, and stored in line with compliance and operational needs
  • Contributing to the overall strategy for optimizing customer profile information gathering across the organization

Who we are looking for

To succeed you should have most of the following skills:

  • A “make it happen” mindset with a strong sense of ownership and drive.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in process improvement or business analysis within a digital transformation context
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with customer onboarding or Know Your Customer (KYC) processes is a plus.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into actionable solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in KYC, compliance, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Strong process improvement experience and an affinity to improve
