Mission

The role of Public Sector Senior Relationship Manager is highly visible within the organization, as it involves end-to-end relationship management with both clients and all departments involved within the bank. This role is a key driver of new business generation (client acquisition, credit granting, and profitability growth).

Your day to day

  • Initiate, maintain, and develop relationships with Public Sector clients (legal entities), offering credit facilities and other banking products and services.
  • Initiate, develop, and maintain profitable business relationships, offering the full range of services of the bank and/or its affiliated entities.
  • Represent and promote the ING brand in the local market.
  • Prepare tender documentation in line with the requirements and Romanian legislation.
  • Lead negotiations with clients to initiate new business and develop existing ones. Monitor and grow the client portfolio.
  • Ensure effective sales of products offered by other ING units.
  • Conduct client visits and draft meeting minutes.
  • Structure offers for various requested products (current accounts, deposit accounts, credit facilities, etc.) and submit them for approval to the responsible departments.
  • Responsible for financial analysis and identifying risks of the financed public authorities/state owned entity (quantitative and qualitative) – prepare credit applications, perform modifications and periodic renewals, evaluate risks involved in offering credit facilities.
  • Maintain close relationships with clients throughout the process.
  • Offer support in developing the Public Sector business to the local Business Banking colleagues within the country.
  • Collaborate with the Credit, Risk, Legal, and Compliance Departments, as well as all other bank departments, regarding credit file management and implementation of agreed credit facilities.

What you bring to the team

  • University degree – specialization in economics.
  • 2 years of experience in a similar Public Sector position in the banking field.
  • Knowledge and skills in financial analysis; identifying business opportunities in the local market.
  • Sales and negotiation skills, conflict management.
  • Credit analysis and risk evaluation skills.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Communication skills (verbal & written, active listening).
  • Commercial mindset.
  • Self-discipline, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Problem-solving & decision-making skills, customer orientation, results orientation.
