Mission

You will work with ESG-related data and platforms, enabling better insights, transparency, and decision-making around sustainability and social responsibility. Through your work, you will help create solutions that have a real environmental and social impact, while maintaining high engineering standards and strong collaboration across teams.

Your Day-to-Day

As a Data Analyst you will:

  • Collaborate with Business Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Stakeholders to examine and understand their data points
  • Collaborate with Data Consumers to understand their requirements and make sure they are expressed in ING’s global data language
  • Execute the Global Data Definition process according to agreed principles and quality criteria, in an Agile way of working (Spotify model)
  • Support the Developers in creating conceptual models to enable data requirements received from global consumers (mapping sources to targets)
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Data Science, UX, Data Engineering, and Data Analytics
  • Support, coach and train colleagues on adopting and implementing our models
  • Report on the progress and communicate the dependencies and impediments to stakeholders
  • Contribute to existing principles, standards, guidelines and way of working to continuously improve them
  • Support defining requirements for Data Quality, Data Lineage and Data Governance
  • Solve complex IT problems and challenges by creating solution designs
  • Providing an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Re-lease/Sprint Goals
  • Understanding knowledge of the domain, the users, and the roadmap for the product

What you’ll bring to the team

  • You have a master or bachelor’s degree (IT, Engineering, Mathematics or Economics/Business) is a plus
  • You have a minimum of 5+ years of working experience in IT process and/or tooling implementation (Consulting experience is a big plus)
  • You are a self-starter with a good ability to learn new content quickly and transfer it
  • Consulting mindset including an ability to think about Data in a way that is abstracted from how business functions currently operate
  • Design Thinking, which enables big-picture view but also the attention to details required for in-depth analyses
  • Intermediate understanding and experience around Data Management, Data Warehousing, Data modeling technics, Data Architecture, Data Mapping, Data Profiling with Agile way of Working
  • Proven banking & product knowledge.
  • You have experience in guiding and realizing regulatory/processes changes and translating regulatory requirements into functional designs and/or processes
  • Strong Knowledge of SQL
  • You have strong communication, presentation, networking and influencing skills
  • Ability to articulate complex problems in a clear and simple way
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary teams (DS, UX, DE, DA)
  • Proactive team player who takes ownership and delivers end-to-end
  • Transparent communicator who creates visibility around progress and outcomes
  • Willingness to challenge existing solutions constructively
  • Open to feedback, with an egoless and growth-oriented mindset
