Solution Architect



ING Hubs Poland is hiring!

We are looking for you, if:

  • you have at least 2-3 years of experience as a solution architect or in an engineering lead role,
  • worked in Enterprise Content Management domain,
  • have experience in highly regulated environments (e.g., financial institutions),
  • excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical topics to various audiences,
  • ability to develop strong and collaborative partnerships with organizational stakeholders,
  • you improve yourself constantly,
  • a bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field/ equivalent work experience.

You’ll get extra points:

  • knowledge of and experience with IT architecture methodologies, processes (e.g. TOGAF), service management processes and an agile work environment,
  • knowledge or experience in architecture modelling (ArchiMate) and architecture tooling.

Your responsibilities (duties):

  • translate policies and/or requirements into solutions,
  • create solution architecture designs highlighting options, to guide the squads,
  • ensure alignment with the high-level architecture and/or reference architecture and/or applicable standards,
  • is responsible for the refinement in a detailed design with sufficient granularity for the development team to implement,
  • contribute to the creation of global standards and reference architectures,
  • build a strong collaborative relationship with the Enterprise Content and Automation tribe business and technology stakeholders,
  • work under guidance of the domain and enterprise architects,
  • participate and/or present in architecture governance forums as required,
  • manage your own features in the architecture team backlog ensuring completeness of descriptions, updates and committed start and end dates as aligned with the related Enterprise Content and Automation squads,
  • actively participate in broader quarterly planning and commitment sessions with the Enterprise Content and Automation tribe,
  • actively document and manage solution architecture decisions and technical debt on solution level for the applicable domain/s,
  • collaborate with and guide engineers in the squads in the domain to implement the approved solution architecture,
  • organise and support workshops and presentations for decision making for the domains involved,
  • manage stakeholders across multiple departments and countries in the EC&A domain.

Information about the team

The architect will also form part of the bigger People and Hubs Enterprise Architecture chapter with architects working from both the Netherlands and Hubs Poland. This solution architect will interface to a broader Enterprise Content and Automation business and technology tribe. The EC&A tribe is a cross-country tribe across Netherlands, Belgium and Hubs Poland.

The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Architect IV”.
