Your role and work environment:

Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to professional markets worldwide. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services, and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our leading and challenger markets, with an additional presence in major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

The FM> Tribe is the change delivery department of Financial Markets (‘FM’) and Group Treasury (‘GT’), with a purpose to realize our clients’ ambitions by connecting them to global markets, providing financial solutions, and delivering long-lasting value.

We are looking for an ambitious and pragmatic Test Manager to strengthen our team of IT Integrators.

As a Test Manager you will:

  • Serve as the interface between various stakeholders (Trading, Operations, IT, and software vendor partners) to plan and execute end-to-end testing with a well-defined strategy.
  • Leverage knowledge and experience in financial markets, products, applications, and delivery to lead testing in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Work independently, ensuring that the implications of testing decisions are thoroughly considered and addressed.
  • Maintain a comprehensive end-to-end vision and manage testing complexity effectively.
  • Initiate further development by planning new Epics, Features, and Stories related to testing.
  • Represent the voice of the business in defining and validating key testing scenarios, ensuring quality standards across functional, integration, and migration testing.
  • Foster an environment of open dialogue that encourages expertise development through collaboration and idea-sharing, where colleagues take responsibility, support each other to succeed, and stay ahead in testing methodologies.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Set up the test strategy, plan, and approach for the entire platform migration, including data, functionality, and interfaces.
  • Design and maintain end-to-end test coverage for business use cases, including testing with upstream and downstream platforms.
  • Lead test execution by efficiently planning testing activities with IT teams and vendors.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and act as the single point of contact for business and IT teams during testing cycles.
  • Track and manage defects and issues, ensuring resolution before key milestones and UAT sign-off.
  • Prepare and deliver regular test progress updates to the project/program manager, escalating risks where necessary.
  • Own the test sign-off process, ensuring all acceptance criteria are met before go-live.

As Test Manager you will also need:

  • Completed bachelor's degree.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience, including 3 years in Financial Markets or Treasury environments.
  • Minimum of 5 years of strong experience in Test Management, covering test strategy, coordination, execution, and reporting.
  • Proven background in working with trading systems and complex data migration initiatives.
  • Familiarity with trade flows, front office, and trade operations activities is advantageous.
  • You are structured & proactive in problem-solving.
  • You have Strong communication skills (in English) and presentation skills across different skill and seniority levels.
  • You are persistent in your approach and able to align with many different stakeholders.
  • You are flexible and you easily adapt to a changing environment.
  • You enjoy working in a diverse and multi-cultural environment, you trust others and can be trusted.
  • You strive to bring fresh ideas to life and embrace challenges in a fast changing and complex environment.
