Role Summary

As a Web Engineer, you'll work in an agile environment alongside engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to build, maintain, and enhance web-based banking solutions across various ING entities.

You'll help deliver reliable, accessible, and engaging digital experiences while contributing to engineering standards and best practices. About the Team

You'll be part of a collaborative engineering team within ING Hubs Philippines, working closely with colleagues across different countries and business units. What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain high-quality web applications and banking features
  • Deliver clean, scalable, and maintainable code aligned with business requirements
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
  • Take ownership of systems and services running in production
  • Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve performance
  • Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders across the organization
  • Support the continuous improvement of development standards, tooling, and processes

What You'll Bring

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years in front-end development
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs
  • Experience with modern web frameworks such as Lit, React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, or similar technologies
  • Understanding of modern front-end architecture and Micro Frontend concepts
  • Experience working with Web Components, Open-WC, Rollup, and Storybook
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive web development practices
  • Experience with testing frameworks and tools such as Jest, Karma, Cypress, Web Test Runner, and Postman
  • Experience using Git and complex branching workflows
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery practices
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English
  • Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environments
