ING Australia is seeking a Senior Pega Engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient workflow solutions using Pega technology. This role is critical in supporting key banking operations, including loan origination, KYC/AML compliance, credit risk assessment, and transaction monitoring.

Reporting to the Chapter Lead engineering you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions that drive operational efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.

What you’ll do …

  • Build and configure Pega-based workflow processes that integrate seamlessly with core banking systems.

  • Contribute to solution architecture by designing reusable components and frameworks.

  • Collaborate closely with customer journey experts, architects, and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

  • Drive automation across software delivery, infrastructure, and operations to reduce IT delivery and support costs.

  • Lead engineering initiatives and mentor team members.

What we’re looking for…

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Pega PRPC development.

  • Strong understanding of banking operations and financial workflow automation.

  • Proficient in REST/SOAP APIs, database integration, and authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML).

  • Experienced in Agile/Scrum methodologies with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • End-to-end lifecycle expertise with a focus on delivering agile, sustainable solutions.

  • Certified Pega CSA.
