ING Bulgaria is looking for Head of TS 

The successful candidate will be a strong leader, able to play a driving role in expanding the business in Bulgaria. An excellent understanding of the Central Eastern Europe banking market and specifically of the Bulgaria Transaction Banking landscape is critical. The ideal candidate is an execution-based leader, someone with a strong market reputation based on thorough understanding how to position products as value-add. Those who have worked in an organisation where sales are not only made in-country but also throughout the network (as ING has global products and functionality) is highly advantageous.  


The Head of Transaction Services Bulgaria is MT member of the Country and reports to the WB Country Head of Bulgaria Marina Kobakova and functionally reports to the Global Head of Transaction Services Sales Network, Dick Oskam. 


We expect candidates to be intimately familiar with the TS products and preferably with the corporate client base. She/he must demonstrate superior communication skills and a confident and inclusive leadership style. He/she should be deeply commercial and understand the financial and non-financial drivers of a successful sales organization while being vigilant in risk management, compliance, and the changing regulatory environment. Affinity with Client Services is a must-have for this role.

Role & Responsibilities

Strategic Vision
•    Drive, refine and adapt our TS strategy centered on sales excellence and discipline. A proven ability to anticipate and stay ahead of competition and be the face in the market for ING Transaction Services.

Domain Expertise/Intellect
•    Address the business challenges facing the bank's corporate clients in Bulgaria. An ability to translate this knowledge into smart business decisions and a robust sales process that deepens client relationships and increases market share and wallet penetration. Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity and agility will be key to successfully shaping the issues and setting a course of action to deliver long-term solutions to clients and driving the growth, profitability, and success of the organization.

Results Orientation
•    Execute on revenue growth plans within a matrix organization; a sense of urgency and tenacity in exceeding revenue, profitability, innovation and speed to market goals that are delivered in a deliberate, inclusive, organized manner.

Leadership and Change Management
•    Leading a sales organization with complexity and diversity of product, client scale and geography; known for an ability to recognize and utilize the strengths of key team members, empowering them to take measured risks to differentiate their organization.

Relationship Building and Influence
•    Generate impact, engendering trust and loyalty in cross functional initiatives as well as with subordinates and clients; a confident, engaging, transparent interpersonal style complemented by strong conflict resolution and persuasion skills; an ability to effectively build commitment towards common goals in a distributed matrix organization.

Additional Responsibilities
•    Monitor and understand customer needs, market and economic trends as well as business opportunities and threats – use that knowledge to define the strategy and competitive positioning for Transaction Services in Bulgaria
•    Innovate and drive the business forward, capitalizing on new opportunities.
•    Participate in external industry committees in understanding trends and defining industry requirements.
•    Realize the full potential of the sales team with a particular focus on the development of market-leading competencies for global solution delivery.  
•    Contribute to strategic development, including early identification of capabilities required to maintain market leadership.
•    Ensure full observance of and adherence to applicable compliance and other regulatory requirements and guidelines.

KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE
•    Language skills: Fluent in English both written and spoken
•    Role model for the so called Orange Code behavior.
•    Successful track record leading a sales organization with complexity and diversity of product and geography.
•    Thorough knowledge of and experience in Transaction Services products (a.o. Payments and Cash Management, Cards, Guarantees, LCs, Supply Chain and Receivables Finance). 
•    A hands-on, highly energetic sales manager with vision, drive and enthusiasm.
•    Knowledge of the Bulgarian market and its particularities and strong interest in market developments and innovation in the Transaction Services area
•    Analytical thinker with the proven capacity to be creative and conceptual.
•    Strong decisiveness and decision-making skills.
•    Ability to manage and develop a winning team, lead and engage stakeholders and be a strong team player with partners around the globe.
•    Genuine interest in supporting the learning and development of others, with keen intuition into how team members’ talents can best be utilized in the business.
•    Proven success building strong and solid relationships characterized by mutual respect, understanding and trust.
