As a Customer Journey Expert within the Wholesale Banking Transaction Services (WB TS) Delivery Management organization, you will be part of Product Area Payments & Channels and will join the Financial Institutions (FI) Delivery team. The FI Delivery team is responsible for the run & change for products such as Correspondent Banking including FI Clearing, Indirect Participation, PSP solutions and contribute to projects such as NextGen and Instant Payments. As a Customer Journey Expert (CJE) you have an end-to-end responsibility for delivering and managing the solutions in systems, services and channels. You have expertise in the areas of technical product development and delivery.

The team

Transaction Services (TS) is one of ING Wholesale Banking core business lines. We offer a suite of WB products and services to corporate and institutional clients. We are a significant contributor to the growth and profitability of Wholesale Banking. Our strategy is aimed at ensuring that we continue to support sustained growth for the WB by delivering competitive and relevant TS products. The purpose of the TS Delivery Management organization is to make our clients successful by offering them seamlessly integrated TS solutions. We have a global mandate to improve products in such a way that internationally operating clients experience ING as one bank across the entire ING network. We have asset ownership for IT assets in scope and we are responsible for the delivery of services to our clients and stakeholders.

Role and responsibilities

  • You report to the Delivery Product Lead FI & Channels
  • You collaborate with Product Management and IT to translate business needs into clear, actionable delivery roadmaps.
  • You deliver the roadmaps with an end-to-end focus on operational excellence, compliance and client satisfaction through to commercial launch.
  • You simplify complex processes and ensure high-quality delivery through rigorous testing and validation.
  • You monitor product performance and usage, leveraging data to inform decisions.
  • You foster cross-border collaboration and alignment across global teams.
  • Together with your colleagues you are responsible for meeting your goals, set on a quarterly basis.
  • You share the responsibility with the team to ensure our license to operate by secure and flawless 24/7 operations while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • You monitor and communicate in a coherent and transparent manner about the progress of your projects.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Deep understanding of SEPA and International Payments (SWIFT)                      
  • Experience with target architecture implementation and Agile Way of Working.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English.
  • Experience with working with (external) suppliers.
  • Experience with managing projects
