In the Payment & Settlement Services (PSS) Business Unit of ING we are looking for a manager of the Cash & Liquidity Management (CLM) Expertise team.

ING's Payment and Settlement Services (PSS) aims to further mature, develop and expand ING's state of the art payments platforms and settlement services. PSS focusses on delivering payments and settlements in close alignment with ING's business lines in (Wholesale, Retail and Group Treasury) and locations, whilst ensuring the basics; safe, secure, compliant and reliable.

Positioned within ING's Payment & Settlement Services (PSS) Business unit, the CLM expertise team is responsible for the management of the (intraday) liquidity of all ING Bank entities, including the development and maintenance of an operational cash- and liquidity model where the cash- and liquidity positions are managed, determined and analysed.

The Product lead is a position where all elements of Cash & Liquidity Management for ING come together. The what and the how, with an end-to-end responsibility. With your team you work on creating a vision on how we manage the business value and how we deliver a differentiating offering. Therefore we're looking for a manager who can contribute to a continous emerging Cash & Liquidity management offering for ING's treasury function with the ultimate goal to increase impact.

You're steering a team of Customer Journey Experts and Consultants located in Amsterdam and Romania. Providing them with a strategic direction, by coaching them on the job, defining the roadmap and by managing stakeholders in the global ING organisation. You work in very close cooperation with IT lead and Operations manager and their respective teams.

Your roles and Responsibilities

  • You take ownership of the Cash & Liquidity Mangement product/services provided by PSS with an enterpreneurial mindset, which means you are accountable for the vision and purpose, including functionality, technology, architecture, user experience. You perform analyses to stay on top of the market trends.
  • Define the roadmap to maximize business value.
  • Prioritizing the backlog under considiration of strategic priorities, relevant stakeholder needs, taking into account functional requirements, risk, reliability, IT run, Life Cycle Management.
  • Focus on delivery through collaboration, ability to bring people together to work towards the same purpose.
  • You are able to take responsibility, steer strategy and realisations based on facts and data, managerial courage to question and make decisions. You are a mandated Business Asset owner.
  • Report on service performance and execute service reviews with consuming ING entities globally.
  • Ensure adherence to ING's control standards and compliance with relevant regulation
  • You build the craftmanship in your team, in line with the strategic direction

Furthermore, you have:

  • A master's degree;
  • Experience in explaining complex issues in an easy-to-understand way to get people on board, including using your strong analytical skills;
  • Experience in defining strategies and policies in order to set and deliver objectives with medium to long term time frame;
  • A proven track record in processes of digitalization, backlog management and resource planning;
  • Experience in product management and development;
  • 5+ years of experience in Payments and/or bank treasury environment is desired;
  • Sound experience in building and executing strategic roadmaps.
