Price is an important driver behind decisions made by our customers, and of great importance for achieving our commercial objectives. With our strategic product-price positioning, we influence ING's results, customer behavior, credit and market risk, and the perception of our customers, society, and our shareholders.

CoE Pricing Mortgages

Daily we are working together with our colleagues within the Mortgages NL and a wide variety of other stakeholders within the domestic and global bank (e.g. Sales, Finance, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance). CoE Pricing analyzes the market on a weekly basis and advises the Pricing Committee NL on the pricing decisions to be taken. The CoE Pricing determines the pricing policy and plays an important role in projects to improve the proposition of ING mortgages. CoE Pricing investigates the development of the mortgages margin, develops tooling to monitor and calculate the impact of business decisions. We take ownership of the client behavioral inputs, under various rate scenarios, and proactively apply an expert opinions if needed.

Senior Pricing Consultant
The role of a Senior Pricing Consultant is twofold: on the one hand, you are running the business and executing the pricing strategy, and on the other hand, you are working on strategic pricing or portfolio management projects.

To illustrate, a Senior Pricing Consultant is responsible for an up-to-date price position, based on market circumstance vis-à-vis our commercial targets. In addition, a Senior Pricing Consultant is expected to analyze market developments and advise on the strategic direction the tribe  mortgages should take. You are expected to understand the drivers behind portfolio and production margin development, recognize the role of customer behavior, and advise accordingly.

Who are you?

  • Strong analytical skills: you are able to analyze large data sets and can translate complex analyses into simple and explainable business proposals. You are able to work with the relevant tools for this purpose.

  • Communication / stakeholder management skills: You can develop a vision, taking all different stakeholder interests into consideration and you can translate complex matters into an easy-to-follow storyline.

  • Impact & Ownership: You actively look for improvements in product and price propositions to optimize value creation for ING. You dare to do things differently in a decisive and result orientated way.

  • You are a team-player and get energy from working in a dynamic environment.

  • You have completed a university education, preferably in Business Economics, Business Administration, Econometrics, or a related field.

  • Experience with preparing proposals, business cases and presentations for senior management is a plus.

  • Experience with different pricing models such as value-based pricing, behavioural pricing and cost-price plus pricing is a plus.

  • Experience with ALM is a plus.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
