We are looking for a motivated and performance-driven professional in the area of Securitisation within the ING Group Treasury Issuance & Investments department (GT I&I).

As a (Senior) Securitisation Specialist you will join our diverse high-impact high-visibility team of experts that lead the planning and execution of ING’s global capital, secured and unsecured debt issuance. The team also actively facilitates the role of ING’s antenna towards debt and capital markets via ongoing engagement with the different market participates and investors.

You will be a member of the Secured Issuance department responsible for the set-up, execution, and monitoring of all securitisation transactions for liquidity, funding and/or capital release purposes for ING Bank. Furthermore, the department is responsible for managing the Dutch and Belgian Covered Bond programs, the placement of covered bond transactions in the capital markets and the coordination of the global secured issuance activity. Your focus area will be in Securitisation.

Your Impact

Depending on your seniority, you will act i) as deal principal (deal captain) in executing balance sheet solutions for capital release, funding, liquidity across ING entities and/or ii) as programme manager for the active Securitisations programs. You will establish yourself as the linking pin between various ING departments, across asset classes, geographies and ING entities to ensure the successful execution of new transactions and the oversight of the existing programs. You keep special attention to ensure compliance with applicable regulation and internal governance. This to contribute to a solid funding, liquidity and capital profile of our organisation.

Your Responsibilities

You will be (co-) responsible for managing ING Bank’s securitisations and/or for executing secured transactions for funding, liquidity and capital release purposes across assets classes, geographies and ING entities. You identify and analyse assets suitable for securitisation, perform due diligence, structure securitisation transactions and manage the execution of the transaction, including investor engagement. You will keep an eye on market and regulatory and industry developments in securitisations space and will use this pro-actively to improve the management of our existing programs and the set-up of new transactions. You will interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders with different levels of seniority. Externally, you develop and maintain relationships with investors, rating agencies, industry groups and other market participants.

Who Are You

You feel passionate about and have affinity with securitisations and feel at ease with the financial markets. You perform well under pressure and feel comfortable with communicating at different levels of seniority. You have strong attention to detail and at the same time can convey topics in a holistic perspective. You are diligent and prudent in ensuring compliance with regulation and internal governance and you stay up-to-date with regulatory developments and industry best practices in securitisation. You are a team player pro-actively voicing your view and taking stakeholders along. You have a natural interest in the functioning of large organisations, a relentless drive for change while diligently working towards the end goal.

You have

  • Bachelors’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Law, Economics, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in securitisation, with a focus on funding, liquidity and capital release products

  • In-depth knowledge of securitisation structures, documentation, and legal and tax considerations

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices in securitisaton

  • Strong data, analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to perform due diligence and cash flow modeling

  • SRT experience is considered a plus

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, including investors, rating agencies, and internal partners and departments

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong project management skills
