The Private Banking cluster carries responsibility for the private banking tooling in Belgium, used by private bankers and portfolio managers, and the development of the value proposition together with the Private Banking segment. As Product Lead Private Banking Tooling & Proposition you are part of the Private Banking & Transversal Enablers area and you report hierarchically to the Product Area Lead of that area.


Roles and responsibilities

As Product Lead Private Banking Tooling & Value Proposition you:

  • Develop and improve the Private Banking tooling: AAA, as tooling for private bankers and portfolio managers, and the new financial planning tooling
  • Improve customer and employee experience through initiatives like Private Banking Alpha focused on removing friction points in the processes
  • Are accountable for the product vision, including functionality, technology and user experience, and take collective ownership of the product, including engineering and architecture aspects
  • Define the roadmap of the product to maximise business value and prioritise the product backlog (both on functional as non-functional requirements as risks, reliability, IT Run, LCM)
  • Are able to take responsibility, steer strategy and realisations based on facts and data; managerial courage to question and make decisions. 
  • Build the craftsmanship of the employees in the team in line with the strategy of the Tribe and Area.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulation and internal/external requirements 
  • Are the hierarchical manager of a team of 3 Customer Journey Experts.

  • Be tech savvy, where you anticipate and leverage innovations in digital and technical applications that make ING commercially stronger and more effective



Proven track record and technical skills:

As a Product Lead Private Banking Tooling & Value Proposition, you have:

  • Experience in backlog management and resource planning
  • Experience in product/service management and development
  • Experience in building and executing strategic roadmaps
  • A proven ability to translate business targets into digital and process developments
  • Strong prioritization skills, as well as the ability to switch easily between granular / helicopter view and to switch easily between multiple tracks.
  • Experience in explaining complex issues in an easy-to-understand way to get people on board, including by using your strong analytical skills
  • An excellent level of English (and Dutch or French)
  • A Master’s Degree
  • Experience as a people manager is a plus
