A day in the life of a Local Product Manager Transaction Services (TS)

  • Drive the local implementation of TS solutions to become a leading and innovative TS network bank in Europe;
  • Identify opportunities and lead change to improve TS offering and ensure seamless customer experience in the full customer journey from pre-sales to onboarding to in life client management, which should help to achieve the financial TS KPIs;
  • Take ownership on risk management and follow the appropriate procedures to assess and mitigate financial risk and non-financial risk while operating standardized business processes, in order to protect the organization from undue risks;
  • Collaborate with the rest of the Business Development team, driving change across the organisation;
  • Be active in cross-border interaction within the Wholesale Banking organization, ING Belgium (particularly the local head of TS), Global TS Product Managers, TS Sales/Coverage organization and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Bachelor´s or Master’s degree (preferably in Economics, Accounting or Finance) and at least 5 years relevant in-depth experience/knowledge in TS Products, preferably in all four area: Payments, Channels, Cash & Liquidity and Trade Finance. VP/Director to be determined based on previous experience. Experience in Front and/or Middle Office TS will be valued;
  • At ease with managing and delivering time sensitive projects with a large number of stakeholders;
  • Strong client / commercial focus combined with the ability to understand technical requirements;
  • Team player. Sharing information with all relevant stakeholders in a timely manner and help other stakeholders reach their objectives. Ability to display style flexibility to teams and adapt plan, approach and behavior to the different needs and situations;
  • Excellent level of English and ability to communicate smoothly internally and externally. French and/or Dutch is a plus.
