ING Bank N.V. is looking for a Trade Finance Senior Operation Specialist

Activities:

The candidate will join the Wholesale Banking Operations team and will be responsible for all the activities related to the delivery of letter of credit and bank guarantees (bid, performance, etc) for Trade Finance products as well as a backup of WB Operations activities.

Responsibilities:

- Receipt, advising and amendment of export documentary credits and input in the system

- Handling of bank credit lines for confirmed letter of credit
- Handling the end-to-end process (i.e. Check of documents, contact with customer for discrepancy and negotiation, performing comply checks, etc.)
- Issuing and amendment of import letter of credit and input in the system

- Issuing and amendments/renewals of domestic and cross-border guarantees (drafting, credit line -verification, contact with customer, handling commissions)
- Verification of credit line availability
- Collecting import/export bills
- Issuing and amendments/renewals of domestic and cross-border guarantees (drafting, credit line -verification, contact with customer, handling commissions)
- Screening and checks for compliance purposes and related reports

- booking into IFS/IRM

- Reconciliation support

- Support in transparency document (DDS) generations, TFS related

- Back up for WB Ops activities (approvals in IFS booking system)

Required skills:

Experience of at least 10 years in the role

Ability to manage critical situations through good decision-making skills

Master’s degree in economics

Advanced knowledge of the English language

Knowledge of Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP.600); International Standard Banking Practice (ISBP) Publication No. 745

Knowledge of the following software: SWIFT Platform and related message types, advanced level in Excel, Outlook,

Contract offer:

Working conditions: Permanent employment contract

Working hours: Full time (37 hours per week)

Applicable Collective Labour Agreement: National Collective Labour Agreement for employees in the credit sector (NCLA)

Location: Milan (hybrid)

Starting annual base salary: 51.000€

Variable remuneration: in line with the applicable remuneration policies (with a target based on the role, outcomes linked to the Group, Business line/function and individual performance)
