Job Overview

              This role is part of the iRisk – Non-Financial Risk & Compliance team and involves contributing significantly to the development and maintenance of functionalities within the IBM OpenPages platform. Responsibilities include configuring the system by designing workflows, implementing calculations, developing custom Java code and APIs, and adjusting settings to enable new features. You’ll work closely with the Technical team, which ensures the application remains operational, compliant, and secure, and collaborate with Ops engineers due to system interdependencies. Additionally, you’ll engage regularly with business colleagues and stakeholders to align on requirements and to design and develop new features for the rollout of IBM modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new features building Java custom code on top of IBM platform.
  • Front-end configuration of the application, making use of IBM OpenPages out-of-the-box functionalities.
  • Establishing API connections between applications.
  • Perform Oracle database related activities.
  • Designing, maintaining and improving the software architecture, like the IBM object model.
  • Understand expected behavioral changes following a specific release and take appropriate action if actual behavior deviates from expectations.
  • Specifying, testing and executing deployment/roll-back scripts and documentation.
  • Understanding the detailed workflow and technical behavior of the application and IBM software.
  • Understanding the behavior of the application in failure scenarios and driving improvements in line with ING’s Reliability objectives.
  • Deploying and running a Production system and provide day to day Level 2 support for the application.

Key Capabilities/Experience

  • Experience with scripting languages Java and code testing/improvements.
  • Knowledge and experience with Oracle databases, like scripting and Oracle packages.
  • Experience with monitoring end/or debugging and/or performance tuning of application is preferred.
  • Experience in developing/configuring with IBM OpenPages software.
  • You enjoy the satisfaction for developing new features by trial and error.
  • You love to deep dive technology, searching for root causes of issues and incidents to resolve them.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficient in Java with strong programming skills and a solid understanding of API integration
  • Experience with monitoring end/or debugging and/or performance tuning of application
  • Familiarity with Oracle databases and hands-on experience in PL/SQL development is required.

Great English communication skills, verbal as well as written
